What Can Breast Augmentation Correct?

Many patients are unhappy with the small size of their breasts. But often, the problem is not just small breasts. Patients may have an associated asymmetry which can manifest itself in many ways. Most frequently it is just that the 2 breasts are not the same size. The solution for this is fairly simple: 2 different size breast implants need to be used in the breast augmentation surgery. This can enlarge the breasts and improve the symmetry.
At times the asymmetry can be more pronounced. One breast may have sagging in addition to being small in size. In this case a breast lift, in addition to the breast augmentation will be necessary.
At times there may also be inverted nipples. The correction of this problem may also have to be addressed either at the time of augmentation or afterwards under local anesthesia.
